It seems like Democrats are very often loathe to admit they're Democrats. We have several posters here who spend hours a day defending Obama and cracking Republicans but they think they're fooling people by saying they're not Democrats. There must be a certain shame in it, or something.

Sometimes, but not always. When he gets passionate about an issue (like healthcare) he'll get more involved.

Yeah, he said he's an active poster on a poker message board. His username is something like "PimpOnDaRiverAce" or "SwagKingsonDaFlop"

We've been through this a million times. Reagan would be left of center on this forum. Eisenhower would be a flaming liberal. I have a feeling you get this, but most posters on this form have no idea how far right they've been pushed by the conservative media bubble.

Again, I'll be glad to link you to long threads on the poker site where I rant and rave about public-sector unions, food stamps, go to bat for charter schools and plenty of other similar issues.

I realize it's very important for conservatives to think that anyone who disagrees with them must be a left wing loony. But there are plenty of us to think for ourselves, and would probably be Republican in another era - but right now just can't begin to stomach the extremism of the current Republican Party. I know a lot more of these kinds of people in real life than I do who participate on political forums.

Every other developed nation on earth has universal healthcare, and none of them would trade their health systems for ours. They think we're nuts. It's sheer arrogance/ignorance to think that somehow we still have a better system and can't learn from them.

I read the transcript. Nothing really new. So why no mention of the Administrations Spin and PR campaign immediately after this F-up and, the continued stonewalling of anyone looking for answers . Screw ups that cost lives happen and will happen again but, usually some modicum of responsibility is taken. In this case blame was assigned to some dork involved it a u-tube video. That really is the story.

I don't know that that's true, but even if it is it's a strawman as no one is seriously arguing for the pre-Obamacare status quo as the ultimate solution.

It's certainly not an argument in favor of Obamacare.
