I never been this pumped before.

How come this game has me jacked up right now? I couldn't sleep because this game is taking place today. It's a regular season game and we still play them again. I don't understand my emotions, but I never been so ready for a Chief game like this one.

Bob Sutton you better not play conservative today, let our guys attack. You take out the head and the body will die. We gotta make sure we do everything in the world to kill Peyton Mannings head. We want him running sideways. We want his head sideways.

Forget Alex and the offense - THAT is what cost us the game.

Not going after Manning cost us the game...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

That OL is good. They kept Poe quiet all night. Those WR's catch just about everything too.

You blitz Manning and he will eat you alive. We held them to less points than any other team has been able to do by not blitzing.

Also got no sacks, no INT's, and no forced fumbles.

Terrible game plan.

The proven, time and time again, method to beat Manning is to pressure him consistently...

2.6 seconds. That is how fast you need to get to him. The proven way to beat him is by covering his receivers giving your rush more time to get to him. You blitz him and he will find the open receiver in 2.6 seconds before your blitz even gets there. It is better to keep more men in coverage most of the time.

We proved it tonight by holding them to less points than anyone else has been able to do.

I feel the exact same way I now as I did after the 2010 playoff game. The Chiefs had a shot on the big stage to do something and blew it because of offense.

Same story, different year.
