Brooklyn 9-9

Anybody watch Brooklyn 9-9? The pilot was last week and it was hilarious. It's sort of like The Office meets Reno 911. The second episode airs on FOX tonight.

Mom
isn't as entertaining as Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but it's definitely been good.
Yeah, Mom has been my biggest surprise. If you can look past the typical Lorre-ness, its pretty solid. I love Baby Lee mentions 2 broke girls in his rant. Lorre has nothing to do with it. In fact, it is a perfect example of how Lorre can keep his awfulness in check. Season 1 of 2 Broke Girls was a decent sitcom modeled after Lorre. Season 2 it went full retard. Lorre sitcoms dont tend to do that. Mom is a nice guilty pleasure.

Horrible name, pretty good show. After Childrens Hospital I will watch anything Malin Akerman is in.

I know 2BG isn't a Lorre production, but it and Mom are about women with money and lifestyle problems, while 2 1/2 is about men with lots of money and not many problems.

Yup, pretty tough to miss w/ Malin Akerman.

Apart from being striking, she's just so damn likeable.

I happened to stumble into a move she was in called Happythankyoumoreplease - not a great movie, but oddly captivating. Strangely enough, she was about the most loathsome character in the movie. I know I was supposed to find her edgy, but mostly I found her to be little more than a shallow hipster (but since she's bald she's supposed to be sympathetic; couldn't get there).

But I developed a definite fondness for Kate Mara in that movie.

Having met her in person, she's even more striking. It's crazy.

What struck me most is that she is almost an Albino: Seriously, I've never seen anyone that "white" in my life. But with her hair, smile and eyes, it just works.

She has a very warm personality as well.

Masters of Sex has been a little bumpy but very good at times (and there's nothing like seeing Lizzy Caplan naked, especially with fully erect nipples!). I've only seen one and a half episodes of The Blacklist, so I have to give it a "neutral" at this point.

B99 has been named the post SB premiere show. Sounds like the network is a fan.

I wish it was an hour long. That would probably kill most of the comedy though.
