The league knew that Ray Lewis was retiring. That made for a better story. They know that Manning would be back for one more season.

When Manning retires, KC should throw a victory parade… my God he has provided Elway-caliber heartbreaks for the Chiefs over the years.

The defense isn't bad its just not elite. I get that. You want to go to just a horrible team rather than the reality which is in the middle ground.

Being a "professor" you should know the difference.

Just like how you railed Stl wouldn't do anything the entire season then in the end when they lost the WS said I told you so.

You weren't right then, why are you right now?
Why is reading so hard for you? Were you raped by your Kindergarten teacher during phonics?

"Not very good" =/ bad. It means "not very good."

The defense is not good. It's not terrible, but it's not good. Seriously. They just gave up 27, 41, and 35 in three straight games. Elite defenses obviously don't do that, but good ones don't either. It's a pretty damned average defense with some great players on it.

Regarding your second stupid, erroneous point:

Ultimately, the flaws that many of us were worried about all year exposed the Cardinals: their hitters were historically inept in the WS, Mujica's luck ran out, they couldn't hit LHP, and the RISP luck dried up, so what the **** are you crowing about?

This will surely get lost in the well, loss, but the #Chiefs didn't allow a sack or a quarterback hit today for the 1st time all season.

You have relegated yourself to being a one trick pony. Have you ever taken the time to understand a team sport or better yet have you ever played a team sport in your life?

I really think you would be happier stalking a female tennis player than trolling Chiefs boards.
