Al Gore predicts the North Pole will be ice-free in 5 years

Well actually, he said that 5 years ago today.

http://pjmedia.com/eddriscoll/2013/1...tdown-expires/

Jim Hoft notes it was on yesterday’s date in 2008 that “Al Gore predicted the North Polar Ice Cap would be completely ice free in five years. Gore made the prediction to a German audience in 2008. He told them that “the entire North ‘polarized’ cap will disappear in 5 years.”

The YouTube clip of the Goracle’s prediction that Jim linked to in 2008 appears to have gone down the memory hole, but poking around the Interwebs, I found this, which looks to be from the same event:

[Follow the link to see a video clip of Al Gore on 12/12/2008 saying, "The entire north polar ice cap may be completely gone in five years"]

In any case, as Jim notes, Gore’s been forecasting this moment since 2007, and his post yesterday included a clip of Gore making an identical prophesy in 2009.

Kate of Canada’s Small Dead Animals blog apologizes to Cairo for having to bear the brunt of the Al Gore Effect yesterday:

[Follow the link to see a video clip of snow in Cairo]

Big Oil-funded Al Jazeera should have known this would happen to the Middle East when they hopped into the same tent with Gore last year.

And ad this to the latest example of yet another not-so-final countdown passing without incident.

And the same prediction from 2009:

Former Vice President Al Gore references computer modeling to suggest that the north polar ice cap may lose virtually all of its ice within the next seven years. “Some of the models suggest that there is a 75 percent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during some of the summer months, could be completely ice-free within the next five to seven years,” says Gore.

Invest in a boat and lots of suncreen. Buy a sailboat as it won't cause pollution.

I seen this movie where there was no land just boats going around robbing each other then sinking them. The main ship that held the bad guys interestingly enough was an aged oil tanker called the Valdez.

If you see a girl with a tat on her lower back (tramp stamp) then this is a map to find dry land.

Good to see someone mention the effects of erupting volcanoes. This gets little mention.

Obama and Kerry want to protect salt water from getting into Shrimp farms?

KIEN VANG, Vietnam (AP) — From an American gunboat decades ago, John Kerry patrolled for communist insurgents along the winding muddy waters of the Mekong Delta. From those familiar waterways that eventually turned the young lieutenant against the war, the top U.S. diplomat confronted a modern enemy Sunday – climate change.

In this remote part of southern Vietnam, rising sea waters, erosion and the impact of upstream dam development on the Mekong River are proving a more serious threat than the Viet Cong guerrillas whom Kerry battled in 1968 and 1969.

“Decades ago on these very waters, I was one of many who witnessed the difficult period in our shared history,” Kerry told a group of young professionals gathered near a dock at the riverfront village of Kien Vang.

“Today on these waters I am bearing witness to how far our two nations have come together and we are talking about the future and that’s the way it ought to be,” he said.

That future, especially for the water-dependent economy of the millions who live in the Mekong Delta, is in jeopardy, he said.

Kerry pledged $17 million to a program that will help the region’s rice producers, shrimp and crab farmers and fisherman adapt to potential changes caused by higher sea levels that bring salt water into the delicate ecosystem.

If it means sea salt won't have a shrimp taste, I'm all for it.

Darryl Weathers: Chet, you are a ****in' retard, you know that?! Even if global warming were real, which all proven scientific data shows it isn't, it would take millions of years for a climate shift to happen! You think an ice age can just happen all of a sudden-like?
