Sanders is a self-admitted socialist. One solution is less war and military interventions. This is another way such things are adding to our debts.

Obama was briefed on the VA waiting list issue when he took office and his answer was to throw more money at it. Yeah that worked.

This is pretty sad. VA lets them Die, leaves them in the cooler. Obama unable to comment.

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The bodies of 28 veterans at the L.A. County Morgue were finally moved Friday for burial to the Riverside National Cemetery.

CBS2/KCAL9 pressed the L.A. County Coroner’s Office Thursday to find out why the bodies had not yet received a proper burial after a source indicated there may have been as many as 60 veterans at the morgue for the past year and a half.

The morgue says the bodies were unclaimed and they don’t know how long the veterans were there.

The law states veterans are supposed to receive a proper burial.

The Veterans Administration says they were never notified the bodies were processed and ready to be buried.

More than two dozen bodies were transported to the Riverside National Cemetery Friday afternoon and more could be moved as they are identified.

On Friday evening, KCAL9′s Stacey Butler reported the LA County Morgue and the Veteran’s Administration were blaming each other for the mistake.

It sounds like a bureaucratic snafu more than anything else. I'm not sure it's outlandish that something like that happened if the bodies were unclaimed and in some cases unidentified.

There is absolutely NO excuse for this.

People should be fired and/or put in jail.

Yeah, that sounds really weird. I am not sure how long a morgue keeps an unclaimed or unknown body but I am betting it is less than a year and a half.

They had to be in contact with somebody to keep them that long.

Granted the VA is probably a lot better than they were decades ago, I could only imagine what it was like after WW2,,Korea,nam

If I want to see my primary care Dr at VA Hospital in KC , they schedule an Apt at earliest time if your lucky its 3 months out, sometimes 4 to six months.
If its urgent they tell you to go to the primary dr check in and get a note to go to the ER,

then you feel like shit just because your going to the ER for something that really should be taken care of with a DR visit.

I laughed when they said they wanted Gov run health care for everybody, this is what its like folks, granted there are some good Drs and nurses some of the best to offer but when the GOV is in charge......... it's hurry up and wait or just go to the ER
sometimes you just throw your hands up and say **** it im going home.

That being said I have some of the best health care there is, and some great Drs who really helped me when I need it most.
It just takes time to get things done ,anyone who has been in the military will tell you its always been hurry up and wait after awhile you just get numb to it its normal or its always been this way.

To say its always been this way or its no surprise and we will make sure someone is held accountable its the same old song and dance is anyone else sick of this shit, keep pushing it along tell we are out of Office, or it's the next mans problem whew!
Or the last President did not do anything either,, come on that is what people elected you for leadership and accountability.

Why not go to every VA hospital and clinic you can first hand and hire someone who knows how to run the place more efficient and hold people accountable I could respect that kind of leadership from any Pres.

It's like keep drawing RED LINES BO only two more years would like a new RED pen sir.

**** it my rant is over got to get out of DC back to foozeball

The VA Scandal is Just the Tip of the Iceberg

The president is right to be upset over the mistreatment of US military veterans, especially those who return home with so many physical and mental injuries. Veterans should not be abused when they seek the treatment promised them when they enlisted. But his outrage over military abuse is selective. He ignores the most egregious abuse of the US armed forces: sending them off to fight, become maimed, and die in endless conflicts overseas that have no connection to US national security.
And now more troops have been sent to Nigeria due to Boko Haram, after Obama's bombing of Libya plunged that country into chaos, resulted in a proliferation of weapons getting into the hands of " al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, Boko Haram...” which was warned about in an earlier UN report.
