"That more words and less cohesion is a good thing."

Are you claiming it is a demonstrative adjective? Are you trying to differentiate between this and a different "more words and less cohesion" ?

How about a demonstrative pronoun? Explain to us what noun or noun phrase "that" is taking the place of?

We can rule out adverb.. which leaves us with only uses that signify a subordinate clause.

Would you like to tell us what other purpose "that" serves in your "sentence" ???
That references what was said in the last sentence, thereby being part of the noun phrase I originally told you it was. It's called paying attention to context and the sentences around it. Pronoun.

See, you are learning.

I don't use "that" in subordinating clauses because "that" is often unneeded and is a waste of word. I know you like more words, but look at the following sentences. "You think that I am wrong" should be written "you think I am wrong."

But in this case, "That" references the entire sentence before it.

Pointing out rambling is talking down to anyone.

Incorrectly pointing out incomplete sentences is attempting to talk down to someone.

Again, the only one trying to correct grammar here, is you.

So, we can add pronouns to the list of things our village idiot doesn't have a handle on!

If "that" is a pronoun then let's break down your "sentence" - "That more words and less cohesion is a good thing."

That= pronoun
more words=noun phrase
and = conjunction
less cohesion=noun phrase
is= verb
a good thing= noun phrase

Now, remember, a pronoun replaces a noun it doesn't modify one. That rules out "That more words and less cohesion" being a single noun phrase. If that is the case here then we have no choice but to assume that your "sentence" has a compound subject. In which case we are left wondering where the comma is? Oh.. and why don't the verb and object agree in number with our compound subject?

BTW we are still waiting to hear EXACTLY what "that" replaces as a so called pronoun. You should be able to [bracket] a word or group of words that it stands in for. Saying "it refers to the last sentence" is not sufficient.

At this point if I were you I'd ask Hillbilly Tech for my $12 back.. or whatever you overpaid them for you ridiculously substandard education.

That can be part of a noun phrase. A noun phrase is a noun, pronoun, or list of nouns that is modified.

As I said before, the whole thing is a noun phrase.

And it references the entire sentence, "people I have tutored, people who think like you do."

That is very versatile.

Keep googling things, you are slowly figuring it out.

Pronouns replace a noun or noun phrase, dum dum. Let's see how that works out for you...

[people I have tutored, people who think like you do] more words and less cohesion is a good thing.

or the simplified version...

[people] more words and less cohesion is a good thing.

Would you like to try again?

At this point you can't ACTUALLY believe the nonsense you are spewing in a pointless attempt to prove you have a clue.

(btw you seem to want to gloss over the part where you completely screw up the subject/verb identification of your imperative sentence.. )
