I'm not sure how anyone can be upset about a 5th round developmental QB, especially a smart guy that took over for Andrew Luck at Stanford and not only won the Pac 12 three times but the Rose Bowl this year as well.

Developing QB's is something people on CP have been screaming for since it's inception yet now the Chiefs are actually doing it, they're bashed.

The only value I see to this approach in flipping the Chase Danielesess' of the world for cap space and/or picks, is that the position itself is not what it once was in terms of NFL-ready talent.

The last two guys in a draft who were considered "can't miss" had mixed results, so I can understand why taking fliers and hoping for the best, or hoping to recoup with development would be considered a smart move.

That said, at some point you have to make a legitimate investment, and that rarely happens in round 5.
