Doesnt make sense to me, you only sign someone that has performed under expectation like this if its a bargain. This was not a bargain. |

I'd have rather seen that money go to locking up Berry.

Hell no. LT way more important and Fish has youth and is an ascending player. For the first time in years we have two very solid tackles on either end.

Well when you have a QB that holds the ball for way too long and is timid, I guess you have to overpay for a LT to prop him up.

It's like this. LT is like QB these days. If you have a decent one you almost have to over pay or someone else will. Players sometimes get deals based on what they will become in the future not just what they have done and are being rewarded. This is for what they believe he will become.

No way. We have talent that is waiting to bloom. The best part of not signing Berry longterm he has no choice but to take his game to the next level of which all of us thought we were getting when we drafted him but have only seen minimal at best flashes of this. He is now on display for sale for all 31 other NFL teams and it is in his best interest to win a SB this year soooooo he can get his big $$ elsewhere and not mess with our cap for the future.
A win-win for both parties, LITERALLY !! ![]() |

Good grief.
You'd rather pay a non-premium player $12 million a year over a premium position, a guy that has to go against the best pass rushers in any division? Berry may be a great safety but a great safety will never have as much impact as an even average left tackle. |
