This is a bit obscure, but I think the into to Queen's "The Prize" would be awesome, and certainly unique. The song is from the original movie Highlander (also referred to as "Kurgan's Theme."

The lyrics start like this:

"HERE I AM. I am the master of your destiny.
I am the one, the only one. I am the god of kingdom come.
JUST GIMME THE PRIZE!"

Great, pounding music with Freddie belting out the lyrics in one of his more savage moods (don't want to think about that one too much, but damn that guy could sing).

Alas, it'll never happen, but I think it would rock.

I also like the intro to "Enter Sandman," but its so damn long we'd have to start it during the commercial or risk getting a delay penalty during every kickoff.

How about "Ride of the Valkries"? It sure worked in Apolcalypse Now. Plus, Kyle should be pleased that I made a reference to classical music. :D

I do agree that "Start Me Up" is getting rather tired.

IMO, the new kickoff music should be, "Lets get dirty", by Redman.

But thats just me.

"Izzo" by Jay-Z

"take it to da house" by Trick Daddy (only when we are receiving)

"Hey Papi" by Jay-Z

"Quiet Storm" by Mobb Deep

"It's Alive" by Tech9 (he's from KC)

"what it is" by Busta Rhymes

just to name a few:D

CG

oh and heres a song for the old Chiefs, "I'm a thug" by Trick Daddy:D

I always thought they should play TNT by ACDC at the kickoff or during player introductions.

Fraz - Isn't that a little weak starting off? Thunderstruck might work though, especially for the loudest fans in the NFL.

I was actually thinking about the end of the song. We could coordinate the actual kicking of the ball with "FIRE" and the cannon going off.

Damn, I really like this idea... CALL CARL DAMMIT! :D

I vote for Orff

Camina Burana "O Fortuna" by Carl Orff

KICKBUTT!! Download if you don't believe me. Coolest music in the world for this TRY IT!!! Keitzman plays it at the end of his show often.

Absolutely awesome for this. Chiefs pregame played this with Holtis calling a TD play over the top of it. Damn near gave me a woodie! Crank it up and you'd have to win every game!

Dave

Anyone that downloads it let me know I'd love to hear the comments.

You gotta pick Guns-N-Roses "Welcome to the Jungle" on this one.
I have always thought that Start Me Up was a little weak for kickoffs. Don't get me wrong, I like the song, but I just don't hear the knock the holy !@#^*&^@*$^@@@ out of 'em in that song.

I would just like to say that I love "Start Me Up" at the kick off. And Rock and Roll part 2 after the touchdowns rules!!! I love the crowd cheering "we're gonna beat the hell out of you." Also, I recall "who let the dogs out" being played a lot last year, so I doubt 101 the fox has anything to do with the music played at the stadium. I wonder why no one has mentioned the Black Sabbeth played during the arrowhead in outer space promo that is shown at the beginning of every game. That freakin' thing gets me pumped!!! They actually play Sabbeth a lot during the game. My only suggestion is they bring back "the chop." 80,000 people chanting is very intimidating.
