Haven't been following this story until just now reading this thread... but yeah... that was my immediate reaction. How many times have we seen this sort of shit pop up where people play to the nation's worst preconceived notions, stereotypes, and fears in order to manipulate public opinion. Cast guilt on the culprit who people want to believe is guilty, thereby moving scrutiny away from yourself.

I will say after researching this a bit more... it looks like there are witnesses that can back up the wife's story (at least someone says they saw her come ashore on her jet ski at a high rate of speed with armed men behind her firing guns at her).

While there is still something weird about the story (beyond jet skis), it looks like the wife is innocent.

Interesting story for sure...now theres a witness who claims he saw her speed around and island from the Mexico side, but didnt see the actual killing.

i have my doubts about her story, but its an awful lot of trouble to create an international incident trying to cover up killing your husband?

The US should put a couple of big ass boats in the lake, get the US Navy and search the Mexican side. If there is any trouble call in an air strike.
