Chiefs Cassel did, does, and will always suck - Page 6

I had backed off on my Cassel hate in the second half of the season because he actually started to play with a modicum of competence. But I never stopped being wary of him, because he was playing well against shitty, shitty ****ing teams.

But today is proof positive that Cassel is NOT the answer. He will NOT be a franchise quarterback. He simply doesn't have the ability or the intelligence that is required. He never really progressed this season; he just managed to not shit himself against the NFC West.

Can we all just agree that he's not the answer? Please?

Meh, maybe we'll try to get Orton from Denver. We could trade a second for him and sign him to a $60M contract right away. That's what we should do.

He was probably to busy avoiding pass rush at the time... You can't expect a QB to hit all the open receivers immediately. Especially a work in progress like Cassel. I still think blaming him and asking for his head right now is WAY out of proportion. Another year with a legit receiving corp. Crennel didn't ajust our Defense to the underneath stuff all day(ala Heap all day) Cassel and Charles turnovers "f" with everything about this game. Keeps the D on the field thus more opportunities for the Ravens to score and forces Weis out of his gameplan playcalling putting more pressure on Cassel's back to win the game which he is not ready for at this point(ala 3 INTS) Did Bowe truly not show up or did the Ravens D shut his ass out like Champ did forcing Cassel to beat them?

that on INT was straight to Moeaki but went over his head.29 year old work in progress,while Flacco who's a 3rd year player can handle passrush pressure. For a franchise QB that isn't too comforting if you want Cassel as the starter.

Heh. I know you're joking, but Orton would be a significant upgrade over Cassel. Which says more about how bad Cassel is than how good Orton is. Chiefs have a first round bye this year with Orton in there.

Bottom line: The Ravens adjusted to what we were doing and the Chiefs didn't/couldn't(I believe both here) adjust to what the Ravens were doing before it was too late(ala turnovers).

Look at what Flacco has around him. I think Cassel would be the same if not better if he had that around him as well. Rice, Boldin, Stallworth, Mason, Housh..... List goes on and on. Plus a very disciplined O- Line. All I'm asking for is another year with an improved receiving corp. If he doesn't do better kick him? BTW Flacco played OUR defense. Cassel has the best rushing attack to lean on, to pull the safeties close to line of scrimmage the middle of the field should be ripe for the picking. Also when someone is blitzing that means their is a space open in the field, it's the QB's job to audible to a cohesive play that exploits that. Brady/Manning do it all the time

Our safties had to play so far off because Joe can burn you by throwing it anywhere on the field with his big arm. Thus, the middle was open all day.

I don't think Matt gets that same type of respect. His tools are not close to Joes IMO.
