Chiefs Cassel did, does, and will always suck - Page 10

I had backed off on my Cassel hate in the second half of the season because he actually started to play with a modicum of competence. But I never stopped being wary of him, because he was playing well against shitty, shitty ****ing teams.

But today is proof positive that Cassel is NOT the answer. He will NOT be a franchise quarterback. He simply doesn't have the ability or the intelligence that is required. He never really progressed this season; he just managed to not shit himself against the NFC West.

Can we all just agree that he's not the answer? Please?

Cassel's improvement against a weak schedule shouldn't be acknowledged.

Yea, that's what happens when you know you only need to commit minimal personnel to defending beyond 5 yards past the line of scrimmage.

The entire premise of run first football is to open up the passing game by drawing the safeties in. The problem is, we can draw in the safeties, and defenses know they could still blitz both CBs and run minimal risk of anything more than a 5 yard gain.

Cassel doesn't make teams pay for blitzing. He doesn't make teams pay for stacking the box. All the guy does is complete passes to the RB and pray for YAC to pad his QB rating. Oh, and he also puts up real pass numbers against horrible defenses and prevents.

This is the playoffs you aren't going to get alot of wide open WR's. The QB's are going to have to make plays and throw the ball in the right spot.

Cassel didn't do that today considering he had 3 INT's and 70 yds passing. That is ****ing pathetic.

Again, if today is all we're going to consider to determine whether or not Cassel stays...

Charles (who lost a fumble during a productive drive and dropped passes) and Bowe (who was invisible all day) should BOTH be gone too.

If we're surveying more than just today's game...
There's more than enough evidence that he's earned the job.

I don't give a crap about the level of competition, he had a solid season vs. NFL TALENT. You want Matt Moore? Alex Smith? Then you must also want a 5-11 season.
