Cassel did, does, and will always suck

I had backed off on my Cassel hate in the second half of the season because he actually started to play with a modicum of competence. But I never stopped being wary of him, because he was playing well against shitty, shitty ****ing teams.

But today is proof positive that Cassel is NOT the answer. He will NOT be a franchise quarterback. He simply doesn't have the ability or the intelligence that is required. He never really progressed this season; he just managed to not shit himself against the NFC West.

Can we all just agree that he's not the answer? Please?

Were not damning the Chiefs. We have lot's to look forward too for this next season & up comming years with a young team. However the QB issue is the same that Carl Peterson has brought us in the last 20 freaking years of his term. Why are Chiefs fans contint with a less than mediocre QB? We deserve better. We drafted only one QB that was damaged goods (injury plaugued Croyle) he never had much of a fighting chance. All the while other teams are drafting there guy and make huge amount of differance for there respected franchise. Look at the Falcons, Matt Ryan was well worth the number one pick imo for them. We need to take that chance at some point instead of beating our heads on a brick wall every season

They don't grow on trees, that's why you do your home work on them. Then you work with them and put them in position to be successfull. You get guys around him, you don't stop building a team just keep going.

So far Cassel has proven he is no better than any other retread QB we've had. Unless he goes out next year and plays like he gets paid & wins in the playoffs (Super Bowl) he is worthless to this team. He is going to be 29 yo. How much time to we got with this guy? We've been down this road so many times.

I truely tried to like Cassel, he was awsome during the Seattle game. He did things that we havn't seen in a long time from a QB in KC. I wanted more of that and he didn't deliver the goods consistantly enough. Two weeks in a row we got pounded like red headed step child. We fans deserve better. Yet I'm still happy with the turn around season we had. Only want more & a Super Bowl fallowed by a chance to win multiple Super Bowls, I want that taste of being one of the greatest franchise in history of the game. Retread QBs won't give us that chance. Not sorry if my post upsets or offends any body. Not sorry for being upset or think that Cassel sucks for the fact we havn't won a playoff game with a retread QB since 1994. Untill we draft a QB or get a young gun under center that we can groom & call our own, I don't think we will ever make it to the promise land. I'm sorry for you, not sorry for me.

IMO, the draft is the best way to build a championship team. At some point we need to draft a QBotf. Our best players have come from the draft. Teams across the league have built kick ass teams using the draft for long term success, drafting QBs. Why the **** can't we do that?

This. The Chiefs just have to make a super team that is basically Cassel proof. We are close, the talent is in place just need to add to it.

Let's get a guy in here who will have fewer shortcomings, then.

We're really close, and this season cleaned up a lot of holes we thought we had. Somebody to replace Vrabel and probably a new starter in the middle, a new RT... some extra depth on the offensive and defensive lines... but that's about it. Oh, and Larry Fitz would help a lot.

That can all be had in one offseason. Either way, most QBs DREAM of this kind of supporting cast that Cassel has.

i'm sure that most qbs dream about having an offensive line get them killed.

Trent Dilfer and Jake Delhomme won playoff games. That's all that mattered. Taking Dilfer in top 10 can be totally justified

Mark Sanchez, after two years in the league and three playoff wins, is definitively not a franchise a QB, but it's uncertain whether Matt Cassel, after six years in the league and 45 starts is.

It's not uncertain for me. Cassel isn't either.
