At the risk of starting an e-fistfight...

What credit card should I get?

I need to get a credit card for my work expenses. (Actually, I'm choosing to use my own rather than get an actual company card. It's a better deal, but it's complicated.)

In any event, I want something that will give me the best rewards, preferably cash back, free flights, or hotel stays. I'm not willing to pay a fee for the card either.

Finally, it can't be a Discover card. It's not that I have anything against Discover cards. It's just that I'm not a loser.

Thanks in advance.

The Southwest card is a good one if you live near an airport with Southwest and you're in it for free flights.

I use AmEx Blue Cash. After meeting baseline minimum, you get 5% back on gas, groceries and pharmacy purchases and 1.25% on everything else. No annual fee.

I spent $60K on it last year and got about $1,100 in cash back.

Send a PM over to R8ers. He can recommend a good one.

If you are a Costco member I highly recommend their Am Ex executive card. It has no fee, I get 1% on everything, 2% on travel expenses, 3% on restaurants and gas. Your rebate is in cash and there is no minimum you have to spend.\. The only drawback is that it's AmEx and it's not taken everywhere.
