Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

You are out of your mind. Everything about No Country was amazing. The actors were all incredible, the Coen brothers stayed absolutely true to the book. It was fantastic, one of the best films of all time IMO.

I was really into that movie until they killed Brolin. I felt unsatisfied with all the shit they left unresolved..

Watched The Eagle and Source Code today. Both of them were actually pretty decent.

The reason that the Coen's True Grit is awesome is because of similar "arty-farty" reasons that made No Country For Old Men awesome.

I guess True Grit would have been even better if Chaney had killed LaBoeuf off camera, then flipped one of the gold coins and decided to also kill Mattie off camera, and then on his way back into town been run over by a random ox cart and lurched off into the sunset. All while Rooster cowered around the campfire like a pussy talking about how things were just too tough out there. WOO HOO!

Man, you really, really can't stand the off-camera death in NCFOM. Why is your reaction so strong? I mean, why would an on-camera death be better?

Because it sucked. I've discussed that overrated ****ing piece of shit far too much. Glad their back on track now.

If you want to argue about it some more, search for some of my years old posts which would still hold my same opinions, and pretend like I just retyped them. Perhaps you should eat some wine and cheese while reading them. It will help.

I still like Batman Begins better than Dark Knight, too. Hopefully that still offends the hell out of you too!

It annoyed the crap out of me too. When I am somewhat invested in a character and the character is going to die, I want to see that scene.

What does wine and cheese have to do with anything? Are they some sort of elitist foodstuffs unable to be enjoyed by the common man? Are simplistic representations the coin of the realm now?

For what its worth, I like Batman Begins more as well.
