I love it when avid Duhbya disciples totally close their minds and make statements like this.

For a guy who thinks for himself, you sure follow the liberal talking points lock, stock and barrell...kind of doubt you're the free-thinker you think you are...and that's part of what makes me laugh every time you use the "Kool-Aide" reference. Comedy gold.

And the rational left shudders when Frankie identifies himself as being on "their side". Talk about a pube in a punch bowl.

He's kind of like the OWS crowd...makes a lot of white noise, but nobody really wants to be associated with him.

The statement I made was LOGICAL. Actually I have not paid any attention whether that is being brought up by the left recently as profusely as you claim. But I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS. You know why? BECAUSE IT MAKES SENSE!

Good call. They ran head long into the rational right, now both sides have merged into an indistinguishable goo of self-serving rhetoric identifiable by their overgrown sense of self-preservation and notable for their ability to stand upright even though they lack a spine.

I imagine that the amount of jobs this kind of technology has replaced (and someone has to create these machines, right?) is fairly insignificant. If you want to argue about robotics in the manufacturing sector, I would give that more credibility but still not the culprit for the large increase in unemployment.

I never said it was the main culprit. Read my post. I used this as an example for ONE of the reasons. I believe I said "many dynamics at play."

"Because there are a whole different set of dynamics in play than in the 80s. Take unemployment for instance. I do not think we will ever see it below say 6% simply because of the automation and computers performing tasks that people used to do."

Sounds like you're tagging it as the main culprit to me.

I bet Frankie could build one of those; hopefully he's opposed to computers doing human tasks or we're really screwed.
