Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

That's sweet! And such a good idea!

In Ft. Riley I got to this on a bigger scale. The RC plane's wing span was probably about 10 ft, so more of a drone than the little "gnat" in the video. And we were shooting the M-60 at it.

I was the only one to shoot it down, so later that day we picked up the wreckage and pieced the scraps back together to hand in our common room in the Barracks. Good times. Sigh....

So I was browsing at Springfield M1A SOCOM IIs recently, but I came across Sig's new product page today. I kind of like this: http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProdu...atrol-fde.aspx ...I already have a Sig556, but this is based on their AR platform.

Inland. I haven't taken it apart but the barrel and receiver are inland. It's in good shape. Id like to get it checked out by an expert. I paid $620 for her. Barrel is dated 1943 and the serial number falls into that year.

1943 You more than likely have an all original matching # war issue. Very nice score. Excellent price to.

What do you think its value is? I am in love with it. It would be cool if the military kept track of where each gun was at during the war.

My latest M1 search hit upon this site:

http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/default.aspx

They've got some good prices on some really interesting stuff, including an AK bump fire stock that will fit a 74 and a Saiga shotgun.

Completely refurbed M1 for $1,139 (under the "cool guns" drop down).

Off the top of my head.Id say ya made close to 200 profit instantly, maybe more.As long as the throat & muzzle wear are good? & Im sure they are. Its a pistol round. Then your 30 will keep going up in value. I would defiantly have a competent Smith that knows his WWII collector's look at it.
I dnt blame ya a bit for being excited. That 30 is dreamy

I ran across a M1 Carbine before the prices went through the roof after O was elected. Still is like a punch in the gut every time I think about it. It was a mid 40's IBM model, in great condition and only $550. I passed on it thinking I could get one cheaper. If I remember the average price for M1 Carbines at the time were around $375-$450 range. One of those kick yourself in the ass moments.

Nice piece though, thanks for the punch in the gut moment.
