This election comes down to 4 or 5 swing states, Ohio being one of them. Ohio voters in 2010 were angry at the president and at Democrats, and they showed it in voting booths: Republicans swept every statewide office, defeating a sitting governor and four other incumbent executives, adding 13 seats in the Ohio House and two in the Ohio Senate.

On the federal level, Ohio Republicans defeated five incumbent Democrats, winning 13 of 18 U.S. House seats and helping to make Ohio's John Boehner the next House Speaker.

Republicans also retained a U.S. Senate seat by electing Rob Portman, and they scored a 77 percent success rate in down-ballot county races.

That reflects a lot of voter anger.

Anybody want to do Michigan or North Carolina?

Obama isn't running against Romney, he's running against his record--- which is an endless list of failures and destruction.

Speaking of not taking someone seriously another Saulgood post.

I never said Ron Paul would beat Obama though it is funny he polls just as well as Romney against Obama and certainly does better than Santorum/Gingrich yet the out of touch Republicans continue to vote for Santorum.

Go ahead and call Ron Paul voters who want reform as cult followers while you again ignore the fact that people are voting Rick Santorum based on religion. Yeah that's not cult like at all.

If RP can't win enough Republican votes to get nominated, then he certainly can't win enough votes in the general. A small group of followers who will have a significant impact on the election. The Republican party will need the Libertarian wing of the Reagan Coalition if they want to beat Obama as I pointed out the GOP has alienated every single non-white group in American politics.

You don't need to apologize for you opinion I respect it. I think Republican voters would come around to Paul if his was the nominee, however I don't think he would beat Obama regardless as the country isn't ready for his kind of change.

I'm not a Santorum fan at all, but his supporters don't think Rick is some sort of oracle the way Paul's do.

Santorum voters worship God. Paul voters worship Ron Paul.

Romney may or may not win, especially since an improving economy would take out his first, last, and only argument, but he's the only one in the field with a reasonable shot.
