Pretty good business model. Huge top line revenue and workers cost vitually nothing. And college athletics is not about big business.

Right, because coaches, trainers, equipment, facilities, etc. cost nothing. Revenue and profit are not the same thing. The profit margin most of the university's athletic programs make is not that impressive. If you eliminated the programs that big time athletics are subsidizing then the profits would look better.
