Movies

Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

I know which scene that is without even clicking it.

Stranger Than Fiction was very good. I also really liked Everything Must Go.

I tried watching that with my son (who was really excited about seeing it). We only made it about 45 minutes in and got bored with it.

Oh....the new Muppets movie is really, really good. If you cant laugh and smile while watching you have no heart. Segal did an excellent job rebooting the Muppets.

I've always thought Sweetums would be a great Halloween costume.

Damned hot though.

Anyone seen Unthinkable? Samuel Jackson movie couple years back. It never hit the theaters went straight to DVD.

Saw Sam Jackson up in another thread and made me think of this very unknown movie that I thought needed to be brought to light.

Sam Jackson gets pretty angry in this film, a part he's obviously good at doing.

I knew the title but forgot about the film, I just looked at my IMDB page and I had given it 7 stars, which is a good rating. I remember now seeing it when it was new on DVD, I guess the film wasn't commerical enough to for regular release. It would of been a good HBO film had it gone that route.

That film featured Michael Sheen, who played Tony Blair in the Queen, and I just saw him last night in Midnight in Paris and he had no hint of an English accent. He's a really good actor, was also in Frost Nixon as David Frost.
