Game of Thrones (spoiler-free zone)
A few have suggested it, might as well test the waters. The idea is to give people who haven't read the books a safe place to talk about the show.

A few quick ground rules:
  • No Spoilers!!!!! for upcoming episodes.
  • Larger Song of Ice and Fire discussion should be limited to the other thread although I think a tiny bit of book delving to fill in holes should be okay (example of this would be talking about Catelyn and her treatment of the wolves in the novel, which was alluded to on TV but never really made clear...)
  • Everything that happened that week is fair game once an episode airs. So if you don't watch on Sunday night, I'd stay outta here until you do...

I want to be clear with this...

Can we talk about spoliers here for episodes that have happened but for those of us that haven't read the books?

Or is this thread just for "Man, GoT is awesome. Can't wait for tonight!?!"

Or are we time limiting spoilers of this week's episode?

As long as the episode has aired, you can talk about whatever you want. No spoiling there. I'd probably avoid talking about episodes that have leaked online, though.

That whole scene with his sister was excellent in the book. They chopped it back pretty good in the show, but still good.

Theon is such a twerp, it was funny to see him get nothing like the homecoming he was expecting...or thought he deserved.

Speaking of... I'm not crazy about the casting for Asha. I imagined her as being a little more angular or something. That actress looked almost soft.

Though she does kind of look like a Tomboy jock, so I suppose that's correct. I just imagined her being a little more feral looking or something.
