Sure, I can understand the GOP wanting their convention to not turn into a circus. Can't you? The fact is that Republicans and the GOP, by a VAST majority, don't agree with or support Paul and his policies. Why should a vast minority be allowed to cause mischief at the national level?

This is exactly why you guys will have difficulty winning the middle, independents and youth. The GOP is appealing to the hard right and the religious right particularly on war and regarding Iran. Not to mention crony capitalism bailouts. You can't get the independents, moderates or youth on those issues...and those are the issues that Paul can win them on. Remember there are libertarians in the Independent ranks. So you guys can continue to run your own circus by corrupting the process and changing your rules midstream to force a candidate on the people that the Establishment wants. If the RNC forces Nevada out to try to maneuver a specific outcome, this just creates and incentive for Paul to run Third Party while it shows the voters they are really fascists. You think nominating Romney is "appealing to the hard right and religious right"? You can't even keep your story straight. I thought there "isn't any difference between Romney and Obama"?

You people have also said that the Paul followers won't vote for Romney anyway, so who cares if Paul runs third party. The result is the same.

They can't cause mischief if they are a vast minority at the RNC. So why does the RNC care? Maybe Ron Paul isn't as fringe as you say. I spoke with a lot of Romney and Santorum supporters at my precinct and district caucuses, and their main concern with Ron Paul was his electability, not his views. Many said they would support him over the other 2 if they thought he could beat Obama. Ron Paul can beat Obama, but they mainstream Republicans don't know that because Fox News has told them the opposite.

This doesn't seem very fringe to me.

Exit polls showed the same thing even in 2008. This is why the corrupt RNC, who has gloated over marginalizing even the Tea Party, has done everything to make sure he doesn't pick up momentum. Rasmussen has quit publishing their polls of Ron Paul vs Obama and Romney vs Obama together because Paul kept outperforming Romney against Obama. Ron Paul leads Romney and Obama in independent support. Mitt Romney can only get 60% of Republicans to support him vs 2 "irrelevant" candidates. The way the RNC and the establishment is acting is forcing Republicans who support Ron Paul, but would vote for Romney if he is the nominee, away.

Last I saw Obama speak he criticized all the GOP candidates talking up war on Iran over this nuke disinformation because he said he had responsibility and that there was progress. The GOP doesn't give two hoots about this progress, they want regime change and the nuke story is just a cover to do it. Same as they did on Iraq.


Like I said, Obama could be lying because he knows it's good for the election. That still tells you what the people think about the GOP on that issue.

No, that's want you want to believe. I don't see or hear a single Republican leader suggesting that we hit them now. I can't think of one who isn't willing to let diplomacy work.
