Quinn QBotF
Hate on me!
http://www.bobgretz.com/chiefs-footb...a-starter.html Watching the quarterbacks Among the 3 quarterbacks on the roster, the guy who threw the ball best on Thursday was Brady Quinn. He appears to have solid mechanics in his drop and has smoothed out some rough edges that were visible in his motion going back to Notre Dame. Matt Cassel threw several nice passes, but he was high on his throws during much of the session. Ricky Stanzi was OK. @Iowa homers. “I think they’re beginning to gain a command of the system and some of the checks that we have in place,” Crennel said. “They’re all doing well. Probably, Brady and Matt are a little ahead of Stanzi right now, but they’re all working at it. They’re a good group in that room, so we feel good about them.” |

Well of course Quinn looks great throwing and is the best pure athlete. He was a 1st round QB for a reason. Duh....Once the real games start however...............

Quinn hasn't played in a few years, but that doesn't mean he hasn't worked and improved. Sometimes it takes QBs awhile to get it and I'll hope we got lucky. I'd bet he's as good or better than the QB that's played poorly the last 2 years for us. The jury is out. Preseason will tell the story about these guys.

I look forward to the QB play this year in the preseason. Not just to see Cassel get out played by the #2 and #3 guys but just because this is the best group of #2 and #3 guys KC has had in a long time.

Cassel's throws were high? Wow. Didn't see THAT coming. I hope they repainted the goalposts. They were looking a bit brown by the time Cassel went down.

Good for Quinn. I'd appreciate it even more if he would rip off Cassel's dick, though.

Quinn has to know this could be his last shot.
I hope he makes the most of it, I'm pulling for him. I just hope he's given a fair chance as the starter. |

I think there's a very good chance that Quinn ends up as one of our top three quarterbacks this season.

It's most likely going to take another "injury" for him to get on the field during the season. Even if Cassel is sucking like usual we win a game now and then that's what they want. I'd rather see Stanzi play but realistically looks like Quinn (Romeos boy) would play before Stanzi. We will win enough games again to take us out of the draft a top rated QB next year. We are stuck in purgatory. Cassel would come back and play last two games and then we get ate up in the playoffs first round.
