Why don't you dig up what was written about Arkansas when they moved to the SEC?

Who said doomed? I just merely pointed out that the Texas pipelines you developed over years probably suffered a major hit. You very well might make it up by stealing players from traditional B!G markets who would rather play in your ballyhooed conference, right?

Maybe, but will all the competitive advantage be on the Razorback side of things? Afterall, they gained an annual game with A&M.

What was that competition comparison with us any way? One, maybe two game advantage on us over a 100 years? Oh yes, I forget, dominance is established in the last few games. Take your resounding two game lifetime edge over Kansas to the SEC. I'm sure they will tremble as you tell your tales!

Arky is right next door to Texas, generally southern, culturally similar to the south, and a whole lot closer to the SEC than Columbia. They aren't a great comparison.

Arkansas was also a football powerhouse at the time from the late 70's through all of the 80's, so I doubt anyone wrung their hands about their future.

Looks that way. We just landed the best player in Kansas, after all.

What does Missouri's new football turf have to do with Kansas?

Why do you keep bringing up Kansas? Didn't you want to leave and now you're gone?

Why the obsession with what we do?

The other thing about B-Rush is that he never lied. Coach Self would be like, “Did everyone make curfew last night? If you didn’t make curfew, raise your hand.” All of us that broke curfew kept our hands down — except B-Rush. He’d raise his hand and tell on himself. Coach Self would ask him why he didn’t make curfew and he’d say, “Because the club was crackin’!” Everyone would laugh and he’d make B-Rush run a little bit.

Ugh, with so many worthless bowls is that really an accomplishment?

After all...

But, just to be contrarian, which is of course the running theme of these threads, we have a brand new coach who hasn't had a chance to demonstrate what he wants to bring to the field. Mizzou, OTH, is much more established and stable, and you know exactly what you are getting. If after a couple years, you're still pulling our state's best talent out, then that will indeed be something worth bragging about.

You guys, on the other hand, can't even admit this scheduling arrangement hurts you. Its comical how you guys are tripping over yourselves not to admit the new boss is the same as the old boss. The SEC did you no favors, said thanks for the TV market, here's your share of the loot, now .

By the way, this whole "Missouri's getting hurt by not getting TA&M as a cross-rival" thing is overblown. I don't see how playing in Texas once every 2 years would have done anything for Texas recruiting that playing there once every 12 years wont. Mizzou did well in Texas because they were generally seen as the top 2nd-tier school behind OU and UT, so a lot of kids who were snubbed by Texoma went there to prove 'em wrong. That sort of thing is less likely in the SEC, where there is no shortage of good football schools all over the south, vs going all the way up to Columbia.

The damage to their Texas recruiting, if there is any, will have begun the moment they left for the SEC, and we won't really see it materialize for several years.

Pretty sure I asked if the new Mizzou field would have a track, and you started talking about the Kansas relays. Why would you jump into the middle of a discussion about the Mizzou field? Why the obsession?
