I've considered doing this for a long time but often figured I was the only one that cared. Kyle DeLexus' thread has shown me that's not the case.

If you have an appreciation for country music feel free to use this as a place to post videos, news, personal favorites lists, concert experiences and anything else country related. Old or new doesn't matter. Just have fun with it and ignore the haters.

Naturally I have to post the greatest country song of all time as a starter.

Josh Turner is differnt from other stars of today in that not many people sing with his bass (other than Trace Adkins) and he does his own style of songs. Scotty McCreery is trying to be the "new" Josh Turner.

If you don't already know them I'd suggest "Long Black Train," "I wouldn't Be A Man" (cover of Don Williams classic), and "Me And God" by JT. His current top 10 hit "Time Is Love" is good too.

edit... oh and "Another Try." Great song.

Shania is a hottie and that's what she has going for her. IMO she almost single handedly ruined country music.

But this thread is about sharing and respecting other people's tastes and I respect that you like her Lump.

Oh and that Alabama song is about the 85th best song they ever did as a single.

I might get blasted for posting this one, but I feel that it deserves recognition. Whenever my son and I watch the movie, "Bolt", we sing this song...

You know, whenever I think of an Alabama song, even though they had a metric shit-ton of hits, I think of the blonde chick in this video. The scene at the 3:00 mark made my jaw drop.
