We have all heard about what happened in Aurora, Co, and I think that Gun Control is going to be a huge topic in the following months.


What measures need to be taken? Do you have any ideas that will help prevent this kind of thing from happening again as it pertains to guns?

I shoot my SKS all the time for both sport and hunting, it fires the same 7.62X39 round the AK does.
Last night’s shooter used an AR-15 which shoots a .223 round (5.56mm NATO specifically). I’d love to have one of those for plinking and varmint hunting.

Yeah, that refers to a single mechanism inside a weapon.

You make it sound like a 5 round semiautomatic youth model 20 ga shotgun with birdshot is a .50 cal machine gun on the top of a tank.

That definition doesn't even begin to make the 2nd amendment clear.

The 2nd amendment has always been regarded as foggy. The Supreme Court interpretations of it, have been very clear, and it's that anybody can own a gun subject to regulations.

So basically, making it easy for criminals to get weapons doesn't bother you? Got it. That is kind of like saying people are going to drive illegally anyways so why should we make them obtain a license. I mean what harm would there be in preventing convicted felons from purchasing guns legally?
