Rumor: Bowe will stay beyond 2012.

Get your grain of salt ready.

I've been told by someone who is extremely close to Dwayne Bowe's brother that there's been a handshake deal in place since the end of last season.
This person went on to say he knew he'd be franchised this season followed by a four-year deal next year from the Chiefs.

I know nothing else, but this person seems very very confident in this information.

That's all I can tell you.

Me either. I've been critical of his drops, but still he is the best KC has had in many, many years and when you combine him with the other weapons on this team.

I've wondered this all along. If it somehow benefitted the Chiefs and/or Bowe to ink a long term contract next offseason, and in the meantime Bowe makes 9.5. Other than the risk of injury, why wouldn't Bowe do that?

Except that veterans don't like camp and special players get special treatment.
