During a debate with Farrell Till, Hovind made the following statement about Donald Johanson: "[He] found the leg bones of Lucy a mile and a half away from the head bones. The leg bones were 200 feet deeper in a deeper layer of strata. I would like to know how fast the train was going that hit that chimpanzee."[118] This was clearly contrary to the published statements of Donald Johanson. After Hovind had been informed in 1993 that his statement was false, he agreed to stop using the claim but continued to make the statement. When he was again corrected in 1995, he agreed that he was in error, promised not to repeat the claim, and said he would remove it from his audio tapes.

Science is inductive. Very little gets proven conclusively, it is all about probability. I assume he wants conclusive proof, problem is that rarely happens with science.

You can look at man in and of himself for proof of evolution. It's a scientific fact that our physical bodies are a direct result of our physical surroundings. If you take astronauts for example, the minute they enter 0g their bones and muscles begin to deteriorate because there is no gravity thus no need to have a skeletal structure to combat gravity.

Well I am not here to step on anyone's beliefs. Everyone is free to choose their own tune to whistle. I just think though when certain things are stated with a high degree of absurdity (is that a word?) that it needs to be called out.

Evolution does not necessarily mean you have to evolve from one species into another. Cro Magnons were human, yes? Neanderthals?

No it is a hypothesis. A theory arises from repeated observation and testing and incorporates facts, laws, predictions, and tested hypotheses that are widely accepted. If you disagree, I can send you a copy of the page from the college text book I just read that answer out of. They prove with probability and statistics and very little is deductive.
