Cassel did, does, and will always suck
I had backed off on my Cassel hate in the second half of the season because he actually started to play with a modicum of competence. But I never stopped being wary of him, because he was playing well against shitty, shitty ****ing teams.

But today is proof positive that Cassel is NOT the answer. He will NOT be a franchise quarterback. He simply doesn't have the ability or the intelligence that is required. He never really progressed this season; he just managed to not shit himself against the NFC West.

Can we all just agree that he's not the answer? Please?

2 things. When the receivers are only running 3-5 yard patterns why is Cassel getting the blame and not Daboll. Two, how far were all of the dropped passes?

many times, Cassel makes a 5-7 foot drop...which at this point he's 7-8 yards behind the LOS...then makes a 12-13 yd pass with catch and run from a Z-WR or RB...ends up being only around a 5yd gain.

I know what Cassel's problem is...he doesn't stand tall in the pocket and throw. He is like sprawled out and plants both his feet and throws. Maybe because his arm is weak and he needs that leverage, but he needs to learn how to stand tall and not be planted like that. It keeps him low which is why his balls get swatted like flies so many times. You'd think the QB coach would be stressing that. Meh.

Who says all the receivers are running 3-5 yard routes? I'd say Cassel isn't looking downfield. This is a team that has less 20 yard receptions since 2009 than Mike Wallace.
