They could have been shown the way by believers, GOD always offers up the visitation of life before the visitation of death.

Since you believe every word of the Bible to be literally true, including the Old Testament (since that's where the Book of Genesis is), I'd be interested in knowing whether or not you are just fine with the idea of selling your daughter into slavery:

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11)

After all, this is God's word, right? God obviously approves the practice. It says so in the Bible, right?

But if the slave owner decides to stop ****ing the slave girl, then she may leave as a free woman.

That's a pretty ****ed up book that you insist every word is literally true.

He sent his only begotten Son to die for our sins, His word is recorded in BOOK form if that and faith isn't enough then you weren't paying attention.

I have stated in THIS very thread the Bible is NOT all literal, you should look before you speak. You are also speaking of the Old Testament and it WAS a very different time.

Then why do you insist on taking the Book of Genesis literally? You're picking and choosing. You're dismissing the the abhorrent parts of the Old Testament because there is truly no defense for some of those things, yet you still insist that the entire thing is the word of God and is therefore infallible.

I've stated before that GOD is not bound by time but rather created it for us in this realm, does that help you?

So what you're saying is that the bible isn't God's word, but God's word recorded by man.
