So the '81-82 recession, which started 6 months into the Reagan administration, was Carter's fault? Or the 2001 recession, which begin under W's watch. Might as well blame Clinton for 9/11 while you're at it.

Yeah we were "allegedly" attacked by OBL, not Saddam.....yet we set up shop in Iraq and ended up staying there for 10 yrs (we're actually still there).

My comment about being attacked on September 11th is more about what it did to the country as a whole, not just the conflicts it may have led us getting involved in. Sept 11 caused a major economic slow down. In fact, similar to what happened in 2008.

If we want to scoreboard watch do we want to compare the unemployment rates in states that have Republican governors vs Democrat governors?

Clinton used a selective stat. For everything that Clinton claims as good as part of his administration, Newt Gingrich also took credit for.

Clinton gives a good speech. He's very convincing and he's very good at saying things to the American public he knows not to be true.






Instead of Sandra Fluzy, they should have had Monica Lewinski or Paula Flowers open up for him as a champion of women's rights.

Clinton has always been a superb speaker and skillful politician. While both Obama and Romney are decent speakers neither are in the same league as Clinton. There was a time I really liked the guy and even voted for him once. He poked some pretty good holes in the Republicans and the revisionist history parts of his speech was so genuinely spun that even I could almost believe it.
His continued references to Republican Presidents , their accomplishments, and areas of cooperation no doubt hit home with many. Though he didn’t actually come out and say so, it reminded me of a time when he was pragmatic enough to go along with a great deal of the policies proposed by a Republican controlled congress which resulted in the debt actually going down a little, instead of skyrocketing like it has since.
I could go through and nitpick the details of jobs created or lost and a host of other things but why bother? The public is not all that interested in facts and figures the want broad ideas and someone to tell them things will be better and want to believe the guy at the top is up to the task to sort out the details. Sadly for all of us Obama is no Bill Clinton and Romney is no Ronald Reagan.

A second term for obama means 4 more years of gridlock. He is unable to work with anyone and nobody will work with him. It isn't spoken but he is reviled. Right or wrong it is a fact, as such he needs to be replaced.
