There will not be 4 more years of gridlock. That would be political suicide for the GOP given where the public views the current congress. You cannot move into an open election with a record of years of no accomplishments. Obstructionism has played out now and all the marbles have been bet on Romney...LOL It just isn't going to happen.

We see that here in Indiana in a big way. Dick Lugar, who made some real accomplishments by working with the Democrats, was unceremoniously ousted in the Republican primary. The guy running now is Richard Mourdock, a Tea Party favorite who has said publicly that he has no intention of working with the Democrats on anything, and is staunchly anti-compromise. It's a campaign slogan of his. And he might win.

It's sad, really.

Precisely. I remember Sam Nunn of Georgia, a war hawk Democrat from Georgia and an excellent Senator, very fondly. Bob Dole was very practical and worthy of respect.

Now we get wide-eyed radicals, basically. Democrats are the unpatriotic enemy and compromise is treason.

obama in office means the Rs will lay awake at night thinking of new ways to **** him over. He is hated; he engenders dislike and mistrust and nobody will work with him.
