Romney: 47% of Americans are victims

I guess this maybe the kill shot for his campaign. I know some of you believe you this and won't find a problem with what he said but as a person running for POTUS you probably shouldn't write off 1/2 the country especially in a disparaging way.

A hidden camera video of Mitt Romney at a fundraiser shows him talking disparagingly of people who will vote for President Obama.

Said Romney: "There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what...These are people who pay no income tax."

He adds: "My job is is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

Because he comes across as being massively out of touch with the majority of Americans, and doesn't do enough to communicate his message effectively. People see him as a tycoon villain, and he's done little to change that image.

No, I didn't think any of them were the worst all time going in and don't recall that being said. Fiscally speaking Obama is far and away the worst, followed by Bush II. The others are not even close. Comparing our present situation isn't close either. As a nation we are drowning and putting that POS back in office is like throwing a brick on us. The vast majority of people that want him the most will be the one's hurt the most when the other shoe falls though, I guess that will be poetic justice. I just have to remember to invest in bricks so I am ready when that day comes. You are right about a lot of things Dane but your take on our present economic situation and the fact that you see it as no big deal are truly messed up. All that so you can hold on to those liberal roots of yours.

Liberal roots? How can I possibly have "Liberal Roots" when I've voted for two Democrats my entire life?

And as to the first part, there most certainly has been a large number of people claiming that Nixon, Carter, Clinton and Bush II were at one point, the worst presidents of all time.

As far as the presidents are concerned I am not going to argue semantics with you when it comes down to whether they were perceived as such. The bottom line is when it comes down to the hard facts Obama is far and away the worst fiscal president in the history of our country hands down. FACT There is simply no justifying anyone who would vote for him again. Vote for Mickey ****ing Mouse for all I care, anyone but Obama.

If you say you are not a liberal then OK, you just seem to come across as one to me.

You know my take on abortion in detail which you would have be considered liberal. I just don't believe in throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Nobody who supports Obama is addressing his competancy at all especially on the fiscal level. Taxing the rich more is not what's going to take us to the promised land. This guys fiscal policy is an obamanation and there is no reason to believe anything on his docket is going to help. The liberal take in this forum is all about attacking Romney and social hot buttons in order to defend something that is undefendable, re-electing this POS. Did Obama start two unfunded and unfounded wars? Did Obama leave the USA on the brink of global financial meltdown?

I don't understand how anyone can say "He's the worst ever" when his policies have reversed the bleeding.

I haven't considered any outside of of Carter WoaT.

I view Obama as a fairly effective advocate for things I strongly disagree with much more than a 'bad' president.

No sir. I think that the economy is an important issue, however, I don't think it's the only issue and personally I can't say that I disagree with the majority of his economic decisions.

Which is a more accurate description of how most feel. He was elected under the banner of democrat, and he has accomplished those goals. Those complain, do so because he's not accomplished anything, it's because they fundamentally disagree with the philosophy of his decisions.
