Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Cool rifle. However, I am skeptical of the way that EOtech is mounted. Are you sure it will hold zero on the dust cover? If it were my rifle, I would look into an Ultimak rail and do something like this

One of the great things about red dots is eye relief is irrelevant.

It's not mounted on the dust cover.

If anyone needs AR mags I found a pretty good deal on pmags with the dust cover clips. 10 of them for 109.99. After taxes and shipping mine came up to 120.21.

http://www.surplusammo.com/magpul-pm...black-10-pack/

Also found a deal on 720 rounds of lake city 5.56 tracer rounds for 199.99. Not sure where you can shoot tracer rounds but that's a hell of a price. With shipping it works out to about 31 cents a rounds.

Latest upgrade. This probably is the last, because now I've completely cycled away all my n00bish purchases.

Grip Pod (authentic) combo forward grip/bipod. This thing rocks. I was never completely satisfied with any of the bipods I had before, so this very effectively kills two birds with one stone. I believe Pants has one of these on his Sig - at the time I thought it would be cooler to have the silly ass pistol grip flashlight thing that is now buried in the bottom of my spare parts drawer. Should have listened to Pants and saved myself quite a bit of money. Oh well. What fun would that have been?

Cool setup. I have a Harris bipod on my AR-10 and Bull AR-15. They are simple to use and rock solid.

This just seems like the best of all worlds. Very little extra weight or bulk, and I don't have to fart around with mounting a bipod. I've got everything I need, nothing I don't.

That's about $100 cheaper than the price on the Sig website - http://sigsauer.com/CatalogProductDetails/m400-srp.aspx - and that's without the scope. Is it used? It seems like a good price to me.

For a Sig, with the scope, I'd say that's a good deal. With that said though, you can probably get a different brand AR with a quad rail for that price. Maybe cheaper. It depends on what you want.

if its going in the dirt... by all means make the purchase, but Walmart still gets those "made just for Walmart" versions. Keep an eye out on slickguns.com and I take note of the models that don't have an ejection port cover.

Anyone have any good suggestions on a good holster belt? I carry a mid size XD with a Blackhawk IWB paddle. My regular belt blows.

Edit....I meant OWB.

One of my friends has been raving about this belt:

I'm probably going to order one myself. It is pricey, though.
