Who's had their Gallbladder removed?

I go see the surgeon tomorrow. It runs in the family. Good/bad I want to hear it all. I spent about 3 hours of testing last night to come up with this diagnosis.

I had emergency surgery last January to remove my gall bladder. Prior to that I had no symptoms to indicate that anything was wrong. As I was driving to work one day I suddenly had an intense pain in my stomach. I got to work and decided to turn around and go home. By the time I had driven two blocks the pain got so bad that I decided to head to the emergency room instead. By the time I parked the car and walked inside, I was in so much pain and distress that I thought I was going to die.

They put me in a wheelchair, gave me morphine, ran some tests, and told me that my gall bladder was gangrenous and that they were going to have to remove it immediately.

Worst day of my life.

The surgery itself was pretty minor with a quick recovery time. Some doctors tell you to change your diet. My doctor said it wasn't necessary. However, if I eat greasy food I have the same experience that others have described.

Again, you're lucky the doctor found it before it shut down completely.

I have a few rounds but Wednesday had a round that lasted about 4 hours and said this is enough and went into the walk in clinic where they did all the tests. When I go to the doctor it is serious, I don't go in unless I haven't tried everything else first.

I'm not sure if I even have a gall bladder. I looked around and can't find one.

I have a closet that needs to be cleaned out. I'll check in there later.

Had mine out last year. I haven't missed it. Still eat the same shit food as always.

It's a really easy surgery. I had mine out 7 years ago and went to my son's basketball game the next day. Surgery on Friday morning and back to work Monday. The worst part for me was my abs were really sore where they cut through.

My daughter had her's out at 20 a few months later, she freaked out after surgery when the gas they blow you up with was moving around.

I went in at 9am and left before noon.

My stomach was literally black from bruising, but in a day i was up and around and in a couple days I was pretty much back to normal.

I did it electively after being told I could have a problem later.

Forgot about this unpleasantry....no one wants to be around you for 24 hours. And please don't light a match in the same room.

I don't have any stones just what they call "sludge" I am moving next month so I am not doing anything if I don't have to till after that. I know what sets it off for me so I know what to avoid.
