Evolution has been caught in the act, according to scientists who are decoding how a species of Australian lizard is abandoning egg-laying in favor of live birth.

Along the warm coastal lowlands of New South Wales (map), the yellow-bellied three-toed skink lays eggs to reproduce. But individuals of the same species living in the state's higher, colder mountains are almost all giving birth to live young.

Only two other modern reptiles—another skink species and a European lizard—use both types of reproduction.

Evolutionary records shows that nearly a hundred reptile lineages have independently made the transition from egg-laying to live birth in the past, and today about 20 percent of all living snakes and lizards give birth to live young only.

But modern reptiles that have live young provide only a single snapshot on a long evolutionary time line, said study co-author James Stewart, a biologist at East Tennessee State University. The dual behavior of the yellow-bellied three-toed skink therefore offers scientists a rare opportunity.

"By studying differences among populations that are in different stages of this process, you can begin to put together what looks like the transition from one [birth style] to the other."

this would do well in your science thread. reptiles laying eggs or giving live birth isn't new information.

If you would just admit your beliefs are based on faith and nothing more than faith I would at least respect your courage for admitting it is simply that. The fact you follow Kent Hovind who is nothing more than a shameless charlatan takes away all of your creditability. You also quote a book...the KJV no less which is filled with contradictions as are all versions of the bible. It is filled with writings that were added years after the book was written and the book was written years after the events happened, and the original writers cannot agree on the most basic facts.

Your unwarranted arrogance on this subject is tragic. Do yourself a favor and read forgeries by Bart D. Ehrman who studied at the Moody Bible Institute, Wheaton College, Princeton Theological Seminary, he holds the position of James A. Gray Distinguished Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He came to UNC in 1988, after four years of teaching at Rutgers University. At UNC he has served as both the Director of Graduate Studies and the Chair of the Department of Religious Studies. That or you could just keep babbling nonsense and not enter the arena of discussion on this subject~

No i didn't read those books, feel free to give me the cliff notes version. I was referring to the Faith part and KENT Hovind is a man among boys on the subject.
