DNC. Team Big Bird

Of all the really important stuff like jobs, the economy, foreign affairs....this is Obamas issue

Pathetic

Drew –

What did Big Bird ever do to Mitt Romney?

For two years, Republicans have been pushing this crazy idea that Public Broadcasting is the cause of all our nation’s problems. It’s ridiculous.

Let’s tell Mitt and the Republicans in Congress that their failed policies of the past caused the deficit, not PBS!

Join Team Big Bird: Help us reach 100,000 strong standing up for Public Broadcasting

If Mitt Romney had his way, Sesame Street would be toast. And it wouldn’t solve anything.

Add your name to stick up for Public Broadcasting: http://dccc.org/Team-Big-Bird

Thanks

Kristie

I mean, I've always thought it was silly shit to even bring up cutting PBS/arts funding in government. It's an infinitesimally small amount.

It's the same logic used by Democrats with taxing the rich. It doesn't solve shit.

True, but $455 million here and $455 million there, and eventually you'll be talking real money.

The rich tax Obama wants wouldn't do anything to solve the debt either, but that doesn't stop him from talking about it everywhere he goes.

And actually Romney used PBS as an example of a larger approach. But again the Obama crowd seems to have a lited capacity to understand big concepts or realize their guy lacks solutions, in favor of mocking the a piece of that bigger idea.

How about PBS stations sell advertising to pay for their programs instead of us taxpayers funding it.

I can't speak for any one else's kids, but mine don't stay interested in Sesame Street the way I was when I was a kid. Yo Gabba Gabba, on the other hand - they can't peel themselves away from the television...

Read an interesting article that asked... why would he take on such a popular icon? He's said it many times so it wasn't a gaffe.

Interesting take -- said it was his way of saying... Hey, I like this thing too, but we have to cut funding to even popular programs to pay down our debt.
