I felt like he was answering questions more directly, answered with more facts whereas Romney answered with more broad rhetorical missives, and I felt like he was just better in tune with the audience whereas I fear Romney did not come across as the same pleasant, assertive gentleman that he was in the first debate.

Romney was relaying a story about how when he became governor of MA he didn't have any women on his staff so he asked why and someone brought him "binders full of women" (presumably resumes) who were qualified to take on various positions in his administration. He was trying to explain that he's pro-woman but it sounded funny to the left so now it's a huge hit in the social media world where things like binders full of women are important and the economy is not...

He just stumbled over his words for a moment, and said "women" when he should have said "candidates" or "resumes" which was clearly what he meant.

But it's an easy thing to grab onto when you want to avoid his answer to that question, which was that he employed more women than any other state government.

And in 2008, Scripps Howard syndicated columnist Deroy Murdock noted that as in Obama’s U.S. Senate office, women were paid less than men: While the average male staffer brought home $54,397, female staffers averaged $45,152.
