Absolutely.

I'm disappointed in the team's performance, and in no individual more so than Crist. He's just bad. Fortunately, we've got Cummings in there now, and he's actually brought a spark to the offense.

Defensively, geez. How many current starters could get replaced by above-average JuCo transfers today? The tackling is just poor, poor, poor.

They make KU's Orange Bowl run look like an SEC schedule.

Yes, but I think they are hugely improved from last year. They are lined up correctly and they are hitting hard. Let's also not forget, the B12 is extremely deep this year, its not like we're getting a lot of breaks from the schedule.

Our real comparison should be against the "middle of the pack B12 teams". Baylor, ISU, OSU, TCU, WVU. Are we limiting the blowouts against these type of teams? OU and KSU are going to be BCS Bowl level teams. UT is kinda hard to put a finger on and TTU looks close to that second tier with UT. If we can keep it respectable against that middle portion, I think you have to look at this team as improved from the coaching.

Next two games are going to be tough, but the remainder of the season will be the referendum on the direction this team is going. If we finish strong and then hopefully combine that with some decent recruiting, I'll be satisfied with the direction of the new staff.
