Why people laugh at Creationists
Taking a lead from Killer Clown I thought I'd create a alternative thread to post some videos I like...

I allowed for grown siblings that never set foot on the earth. But even Jesus couldn't get rid of his scars in his hands and side. I guess after a while those scars will heal. So you all will get to see embryos develop outside a body.

it starts at conception, does it not? That's the religious view that the republicans want.

But like it said before. If there is a God, he's the biggest abortionist of them all since 15-20% of recorded pregnancies end in miscarriage. By the church's logic then God is the one who aborted them, assuming the woman wasn't a crack head or something.

Once again, abortion implies intentional ending of the life. I can't presume, and I don't think many mainstream Christians presume, that God actively ends the life of conceived children. At least, I've never heard that doctrine. When it comes to natural occurrences, and miscarriages must fit in that category (as do tornadoes, hurricanes, etc.), it is far too presumptuous to hold that God involves himself with them.

it's hard to tell in that situation since I've seen/heard at least 5,000 christians threaten people with hell in my experience. Only they were serious every time.

Yes, in this very thread, Killer_Clown is such an example. Personally, I think it's possible to believe in hell without presuming who on an internet message board is going there but rather having a good faith presumption against damnation and instead having a gallows sense of humor about it. But then, I'm sort of a disciple of the Jesuit who wrote this book:



I've gone the rounds of many of these Christians throughout my time on here. I've no illusion that they are anything but decent people for the most time (with the exception of one, who for the most time on here, is not a decent person). I just feel their religious beliefs leave a lot to be desired. I'm sure the feeling is reciprocated, and I'm fine with that.
