NFL Players Poll: Most Overrated

I agree with #1 but several of the other ones I guess I have a hard time agreeing with. You can't be overated if you really aren't highly rated can you? They have Bowe on there as well at #14.

this list is a joke right? Urlacher, Ray Lewis, Eli Manning, Troy Polamalu, Roddy White
Urclacher and Lewis probably are overrated at this point in their careers, Urlacher in particular.

I love the guy, but he's fallen hard these days.

The worst ones on the list are the guys that aren't rated at all. For instance having Sanchez as your #2 is stupid - everyone thinks he's a bust at this point. Crabtree? Does anyone think of him as more than a nice #2 WR?

Oh, and Brady at #10 is !@#$ing ridiculous. He's insanely good.

I think TODAY'S game, Lewis, Polamalu & Urlacher are in fact over rated.

If we were talking about over the course of a career obviously not. But in 2012 i think you can make a case that, yes, those players are over rated.

I'm aware of that. But look where that got him? He's a gimmick player who hardly plays. If you're overrated, that means people think you're not as good as you are perceived to be.... Nobody thinks this guy is any good.

I understand Lewis being on the list. He has not been a very good linebacker for a couple of years now. But, Tom Brady? He is still elite. As far as I am concerned there is Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, and then there is everyone else (Matt Ryan is sorta entering that convo, but he is not there yet).

No one thinks Cassel is any good. You have to be rated before you can be over rated.

Bowe is underrated, if anything. I cannot fathom the numbers that dude would have with even a mid-range starting QB.

His being on the field is an over-assessment of his talent.

It's really interesting that this was voted on by the players.

I know this won't be popular but I do think Bowe and Raji are very overrated and I am glad to see them on the list. Raji hasn't done crap since Jenkins went to Phily. He's not much better of a pick than Jackson. Bowe gets his numbers against crappy corners and in junk time.

Outside of Brady and Manning, that list is pretty much dead-on.

Perfect example.

Nope, but look at 2010 for example. In the first game, Denver kicked our ass. Bowe did nothing until half time. the game was over by then. In the second half, Denver had their corners play way off and it was all Bowe in junk time.

When Denver came to Arrowhead for the next game, Champ held him to no catches.

Last year, he got 2 catches for 17 yards and then 6 catches for 93 yards in the next game. There were no TDs.

I guess you could say he had one decent game against Bailey in ten games? Maybe? Even then he didn't get 100 yards or a TD.
