That was quite the surprise. One I could see, but not two.

And none of the 100 largest are in Florida. That's my other surprise takeaway.

Approximately 34 percent of those 100 largest islands have no population. And one of them, Long Island, has more people than the other 99 combined.

Canada's Baffin Island is the 5th largest in the world.

Even worse. Antarctica, which has one single national claim, but is shared by multiple countries, has THREE islands larger than our Big Island.
