Buccaneers trade Aqib Talib to Patriots
per NFL.com

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Thursday they have traded cornerback Aqib Talib and a 2013 seventh-round draft pick, originally from the Chicago Bears, to the New England Patriots in exchange for their fourth-round pick in 2013.

Pats had to do something. Their defensive backfield is shit. They've already had a bunch of injuries, and are being forced to play 1st-year guys they didn't want to play. Giving up a 4th and getting a 7th means it's very little risk. If he contributes, even for only half a season, it could be the difference between winning and losing a playoff game that gets you to the Super Bowl. He's not a model citizen but they didn't have many options.
