Are they being forced to have a gay marriage? Then that is tolerant of their beliefs. Denying people the right to have a gay marriage because of an opposing belief is the intolerance.

They have the right to think and believe lots of things--doesn't make the belief any less idiotic. What two people do has no impact on their faith.

Unless they are Mormons themselves, Romney's Mormon beliefs about Jesus should also qualify as a "slap in the face to people of faith."

I agree. The Christian tradition of marriage is going to be tough to sell. It is what is is and has been for centuries. Now legal civil unions is something many people are open to so I don't understand why that route is not pursued.

Are there any differences in heterosexual couples getting married by the justice of the peace? It is called a marriage and is non religious in nature.
