I'm not claiming this Alabama team is better offensively than Auburn in 2010. I'm saying they were about equivalent, which the statistics support.

The only thing clear is that you're too stupid to have this discussion with.

Clearly. If you really think they're equivalent because of a PPG stat, that's fine.

Perhaps. My point, though, is that when someone says Oregon beat USC on the road, it doesn't carry quite as much cache as it did a few years ago when USC was on the top of football. They're simply not at that level right now.

Point noted, but there's more than just that one Arizona game to support that USC isn't up to their normal standards.

IMO the SEC is a little overrated this season, but the games will prove whether I'm wrong or right.
I've heard that before the last few years, but in the end, it usually ends up with the SEC on top and winning a huge share of bowl games.

I agree that the SEC is overrated actually. The top is ELITE, then the bottom sucks. There's not much middle ground.

They're way better than anyone else though...

I don't think the top tier SEC teams are overrated. Bama, Georgia, Florida, LSU, South Carolina and A&M are all tough as ****.

Say UGA and Bama win out (both should) and meet in the SEC title game. The talk of the week into that game will be whether or not UGA should get in the BCS title game if they win?

The big games on their schedule when they played:
lost to #5 SC @SC
beat #2 UF neutral site
beat #1 Bama neutral site

Will have won the SEC. I think they'd be in, leapfrogging teams who's fans would be pissed....

Not a big college fan, so it would be hilarious to me. I'm sure plenty would be livid, as they are every year.
