Iowa has done well during this depression though. Farmers aren't hurting. So I can see Iowa voting for the incumbent.

With 25% reporting, Waxman is losing by 3% to an independent. We've had a couple independents in the Senate, but I don't remember the last time we ever had an independent in the house, much less an indy who scalped such a high-profile entrenched congressman.
I like it.

Stem cell research never required FETUSES. It required human embryos.

There's two types of stem cell - embryonic stem cells and adult stem cells, neither of which come from fetuses.

The VAST majority of successful stem cell research right now is coming from adult stem cells, which are readily available.

You're absolutely right. It shouldn't even remain an issue.

FDR bought a lot of his votes with promises of goodies. It's just lower class bribery. Not only that, but aid money he gave had strings attached to voted Democrat. I even read Obama halted some epa regs to win....let's see what he does with them afterwards.

All and all though, Mitt was a liberal too. That would have just made the House vote more in line with him.

QFT

Let's face it, math isn't the problem...it's the ideas under them that are the problem.

The Repubs have got to figure out a way to break through to more Hispanic and African American voters. Right or wrong, we all know the perception of the GOP with minority voters. Romney didnt do himself any favors with his 47% comment.

Absolutely agree.

It was interesting to hear political reporters talk in the last few days how big Romney's crowds were but how also how very white they were. It was a striking difference with his crowds and Obama's.
