In other words, how Ron Paul supporters effectively elected Barack Obama in a fit of pique?

Obamacare’s fix for an American health care system that the federal government long ago broke, is to give the federal government far more power over American health care; that its solution to escalating health costs is to mandate greater health benefits (and, hence, higher costs); and that its solution to the pricey overreliance on pre-paid health plans — offered by insurance companies in lieu of real insurance — is to have the government require Americans to buy those pre-paid health plans under penalty of law.

You don't know how all of them voted. Some did vote for Mitt. The ones that didn't, well it's the GOP's fault on how they handled them.

Here's a part of a post by a Paul supporter from another board:

Quote:
Second of all, I am a Libertarian, and if I were forced into a choice, I would probably have voted for Obama as well.

No way in the world Romney would have lived up to his promises on domestic spending.

So...we then have to consider foreign policy.

Obama has had a fairly hawkish foreign policy, but Romney would have been even moreso, and particularly in Asia.

No, the people who voted for Obama elected Obama. The key to getting elected is to earn more votes than the other guy. Mitt Romney was doomed to lose from the beginning. He couldn't beat McCain. He couldn't seal the deal for the nomination until his money finally made him outlast the others. He was just an all around bad candidate from the outset. He got nearly 2 million less votes than McCain was able to get. That's terrible.

The Libertarians, as far as a POTUS election, are still in hype mode. They are trying to attract attention to the party. They believe that exposure of their message is primary importance. Ventura is very good at that. He has a flair for the dramatic, he's a good public speaker and he's a pretty smart guy.

I read that a lot of the Christian Right stayed away as well. Probably couldn't talk themselves into voting for someone who belongs to a cult..err Mormon.

If they did stay home is true than I would agree with Rush. Evangelicals believe the Mormon Church is a cult so it was always going to be a hard sell. I was honestly surprised his church didn't become more of an issue.

You know what is more interesting is that Mormons actually voted more for Bush than Romney, 80 to 78. Huge fail on his part

Agreed, couldn't beat McCain, who could not beat Obama.

Even a bad 4 years of Obama, Romney could not get all the christian rights to vote for him.
