Peacefully grant the State of Texas to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government.
The US continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal government's neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending. The citizens of the US suffer from blatant abuses of their rights such as the NDAA, the TSA, etc. Given that the state of Texas maintains a balanced budget and is the 15th largest economy in the world, it is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the union, and to do so would protect it's citizens' standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government.

Well, you should tell the Obama administration if they don't mean what they say about putting them up on the WH site...then they shouldn't have them up. I doubt it's a law.

I keep hearing this reported on various "news" outlets stated just like this. I don't think it is a minor detail that no "state" has filed any sort of petition.

I see now--they have said they would respond to anything with 25K. Here's what I find interesting/ironic:

"A whitehouse.gov account is required to sign Petitions."

Sounds like a good way to gather info on nutjobs.

I read a bunch of them over a year ago. It was interesting some of the stuff being asked for.

Law? No. Why would there be a law like that? That's kind of stupid. The site itself, whitehouse.gov, states that if a petition gets the required support that they will review it and issue a response. I already posted that earlier in the thread. Is there some law that you have to White Knight for Barack Obama at all times? Are you constitutionally required to be a Democratic shill?

You only need to supply a first name, last name and e-mail address. I'm guessing there was a run on accounts with Billybob Fakename and thesouthwillriseagain@hotmail.com type info.

Better make sure you take a look at the fine print on that user account info you filled out. You may have just committed a federal offense with your false info provided to the federal government. See, that's how they get ya.
