If Denver makes a deep run in the playoffs, it won't be solely on the strength of Peyton Manning's right arm. Have you seen them play defense? Von Miller in particular? Miller was a one-man wrecking crew at Carolina Sunday from his strongside outside linebacker spot, sacking Cam Newton once, tackling three other Panthers for loss and dragging Newton down while he ill-advisedly tried to complete a pass; it was intercepted by Tony Carter and returned 40 yards for a touchdown.

In all, Denver held Carolina conversion-less on 12 third-down tries. "Von Miller is just playing out of his mind,'' coach John Fox told me. "If he hadn't gotten hurt last year, he definitely would have shattered the rookie sack record, and he's playing even better this year.'' He's got 21.5 sacks in his first 24 pro games. Miller's had help; Denver's allowed just 289 yards, on average, in beating the Saints, Bengals and Panthers in the last three weeks. The only way those #3, #4, and #5 vote-getters you're so proud of get in is if there's an injury.

Basically it's Manning and Von Miller who will be selected to the Pro Bowl from your team. No ****ing clue what Wesley Woodyard has done to deserve #2 in votes, but it sounds like he'll get in on his own merits as well.

The rest of your team has to Matt Cassel their way in.

And do coaches and players even know who the **** Trindon Holliday is? If fans put him at #5 and there's one KR specialist position available on the AFC roster, something tells me the players and coaches aren't going to give two ****s about Holliday.

The same goes for Delirium Tremens, except he might get in due to injuries or because the Super Bowl's AFC team has a WR. I'm not going to bother googling the results, but at this point Reggie Wayne, AJ Green, and Wes Welker all have a leg up. I suppose if there are four WRs for each Pro Bowl squad then Tremens will get in. Then again, he also has to fight off his own team mate in Decker.

I wouldn't be surprised. Long isn't playing so well, and Manning is the least sacked QB in the league.
